final blog : (

i also have enjoyed 6th hour mr. burns whoooo ya it was awesome, in fact it was so awesome that im gonna switch out of my next class to your class to 5th hour and we can all make new wonderful memories, whoo, any way the thing that i enjoyed learning about most was about the trench warfare because i didnt know any of that and how machines and new guns were invented during this period. the topic i found least interesting was about poets and writers in the 1800s and all because i dont enjoy poems or writing at all. I wish that we could have a chance to go on a field trip to some place historical in range.

guest speaker

I thought that the guest speaker was a brave man, I learned that he has definetely been throught a lot considering that he was one of only few that survived on the s.s indianapolis. i also learned that he had to survive against the devestating powers of nature along with the sinking of the ship, he had to survive in shark infested waters for a whole five days, with no food or drink in sight. in the beginning he told us that he was 203 pounds and in the end he said that he was 99 pounds so he lost 102 pounds treading in the water. his story was a really good one, filled with lots of details that are great because it was on the inside, although it was a tragedy. i enjoyed listning to the guest speaker.

war

WAR by: Sick puppies

This was an easy song to pick considering that its titled war, and its about fighting and to never give up in the fight. also in the beginning it says should of stood up when u had the time, so that also means be brave, and fight before its over and time runs out, and u didnt contribute to the war.

siegfried sasoon poem " how to Die" ( i couldnt paste it idk y)

this poem was very visual to me, i could picture the soldier himself laying on the battlefield, waiting for deaths blanket to cover him. the poem itself was well written and somehow beautiful even though its about a dying soldier. i enjoyed reading this epic poem, it was deep, and made me cry a little.

sassoon actually joined the military and fought in world war 1, his father was jewish, his mother anglo catholic.

This poster tells people to join the airforce, and be a pilot for the army. This encourages people that joining the army as a pilot is right, and the country as well as uncle sam needs them.

Ioloni Palace where king Kalakaua and Queen Lili'uokalani lived as monarchs. The government overthrew the king and queen in 1893, not only from there positions but also from the palace that was built for them.

ok so the New York World was different from other, plain and dull newspapers, because it brought color, and creativity on the paper. Pulitzer was also going blind, so to contrast against this he made bold letters and a lot more jazz and spunk to the paper
