war

WAR by: Sick puppies

This was an easy song to pick considering that its titled war, and its about fighting and to never give up in the fight. also in the beginning it says should of stood up when u had the time, so that also means be brave, and fight before its over and time runs out, and u didnt contribute to the war.

siegfried sasoon poem " how to Die" ( i couldnt paste it idk y)

this poem was very visual to me, i could picture the soldier himself laying on the battlefield, waiting for deaths blanket to cover him. the poem itself was well written and somehow beautiful even though its about a dying soldier. i enjoyed reading this epic poem, it was deep, and made me cry a little.

sassoon actually joined the military and fought in world war 1, his father was jewish, his mother anglo catholic.

This poster tells people to join the airforce, and be a pilot for the army. This encourages people that joining the army as a pilot is right, and the country as well as uncle sam needs them.

Ioloni Palace where king Kalakaua and Queen Lili'uokalani lived as monarchs. The government overthrew the king and queen in 1893, not only from there positions but also from the palace that was built for them.

ok so the New York World was different from other, plain and dull newspapers, because it brought color, and creativity on the paper. Pulitzer was also going blind, so to contrast against this he made bold letters and a lot more jazz and spunk to the paper

Immigrants

Man on the right in a top hat and full beard: Oh my goodness O my goodness, it smells terrible in here, well i guess these people could not help it now considering that most of them have spent the last few weeks on that darn ship. I hope that the people here give me a good job, but as an honorable man from Germany i will be happy to do anything. Wait, what if they do not let me in then what would I do, i know that i dont have any diseases but what if they shave my super amazing beard. I sure hope that they can pronounce my name right also, Matthais Jeager. I heard of this one lady who got her name changed completely and could not change it back. I really hope that i can find a job, a decent job too. What if i dont get a job at all then what am i suppose to do? i know that i have skills that will do in any feild but i dont know if i can even tell them that due to this weird language. Well im here i hope this goes good...

Philanthropists

Andrew Carniage, From 1901 and on spent his times as a philanthropist, which is the effort or inclination to increase the well being of mankind as by charitable aid or donations. He gave $500,000 to Pittsburgh for a public library. He also donated 250 grand Allegheny for music halls and library, and another 250 grand to Edinburgh scotland for a free library. This man in total funded around 3,000 libraries around the world.

John D.Rockefeller donated ten percent of his earning to his church right off from his very first paycheck. His fortune grew and so did the the churches. He believed in efficiancy movement arguing that "to help and inefficiant, ill located, unnecessary school is a waste, it is highly probable that enough money has been squandered on unwise educational projects to have built up a national system of higher education adequate to our needs, if the money had been properlly donated to that part." quote by John D. Rockefeller. He also gave 80 million dollers to university to Chicago.

This picture represents the Rise Of Industry, and in a certain way it represents the downfalls of industry. As you can see the oil company has tentacles that grab anything in the vicinity, which probably means that the company is ither destroying everything around it or just replacing it. The Rise Of Industry has more faults then this but it is clear that some of them can make a great impact in our present and the future.

Early Architectural designs

This appears to be one of the more symbolic designs probably more of a monument. This is the Heroic statue of the Republic, it looks very heroic indeed.
This is probably the more advanced design for its time and is very well sculpted and probably brought a whole arsenal of ideas into brilliant architectural designers. I enjoy this because it shows that even people way back then knew how to have fun.

This is a very creative design, although i have no idea what this means it is beautiful never the less.

This is one of my most favorite out of all the structures in the menu, this is amazing because it is completely made out of citrus fruits. I admire this fruity design, in a good way.

  • I enjoy this design because it looks like it has a great view of whatever water is right there.

  • This is also a very well designed building i would love to live here.

The civil war has crippled our country in some areas such as areas down south. Slavery has ended in our country but racism will be forever or untill at least we all recognize it as a pointless problem that needs to be solved. By pointless I mean that we do not need racism and its not worth being racist just because some are different.
Confederate Flag Contravesry: The confederate flag has been appropriated by the klu klux klan and other extremest hate groups. More than 500 extremest have used the confederate battle flag as there symbol. This flag is also called the Southern Cross or the cross of st. Andrew.
